Honey & Mead

Our honey and mead comes from Gerald and Marianna Cooper at the New Quay Honey Farm, West Wales and in our opinion it’s the best that money can buy. The honey produced in this area is of a very high quality due to the abundance of wild flowers and trees that flourish in this unspoilt part of Wales.

Varieties include, Borage, Wildflower, Mountain and Heather. In 1999 Gerald and Marianna opened their purpose built Meadery. Mead (honey wine) dates back to 1200 A.D. and is mentioned in some of the most famous early Welsh poetry. As well as the original honey flavour you can choose from, Heather, Ginger, Apricot, Blackberry and Raspberry. All delicious.

In addition to the fantastic New Quay Honey we have our own locally made Jams, Marmalade and Chutneys together with several different ranges of preserves, including chilli jam.
